Hi I have a year old female guinea fowl she been laying good intill month ago, she stop laying is it cuz she not getting enuff protine? Or do they stop when it gets cold out? Winter is almost here

well, i have no idea about your climate.
breeding season usually take place or coincides with the timing of rainfalls, to take the advantage of food fostered by rain. its either an early summer or later winter. when the weather gets dry, they may slow down and stop laying. sometimes hens may stop laying if the ratio feed has been changed or stopped to feed (usually to cooped guineas who cant get their natural greens and bugs)

best wishes

Ok thank u here r my gueanas dont know what kind they I hatch them from a friend. Iam gussing there pearl

My female has cricked toes too but she was born like that she walks fine. I did lost two other ones when they hatch dont know why

compare to a chicken, guineas are too soft for the hardling world. most of the keets hatching out with legs strugleness, its usually those hatched from incubators. natural broodiness is often rare to have those factores, but not always. some die, some make it.....
