Looking for All Flock Feed

My girls would scatter the crumble everywhere looking for the small amount of scratch that I put in when I refill their feeders and when it would rain the feed on the ground stunk! :sick

Mixing scratch with feed is a no-no, unless you want what you descried. Imagine mixing chocolate with broccoli for your kids.

I was referring to All Flock Feed in general.

'All flock' basically just means low calcium so roosters can eat it without long term repercussions. The term can be expanded to include chicks and young pullets who need higher protein, in which case some of the lower protein 'all flock' feeds wouldn't qualify.

I have decided that I will feed my new flock All Flock Feed instead of layer pellets because I will have a mix of ages and I’ll also have 4 sebright bantam pullets who are an ornamental breed and I don’t want them consuming too much calcium. I really like the Dumor Feed brand but I don’t know if they sell an All Flock feed. I buy my feed from Tractor Supply Co. but I guess I could look into Schaefer’s Farm to but feed at as well since they’re both the same distance away. What feed brands sell an All Flock feed in pellet or crumble form?
I just got back from TSC they are no longer stocking the gamebird feed I had been using but have a Purina "Flock Raiser Crumbles" that comes in at 20% protein for feathering out my ornamental gamebirds, and they had 50 pound oyster shell for 9 dollars or 7 dollars for the 10 pound bag! So I went big on that one.

As to Timothy hay being safe for chickens, I wouldn't know. Would have to look it up. I just know that the chickens clean up any bits of hay from the horses when they are free ranging and I never had any ill effects. That is why I started throwing them some hay to keep them occupied. It makes them fat and sassy and happy.

That is great to know. I always buy the 10 lb bag. Never thought to look for a bigger bag.

I also splurged and got the 50 pound bag of crushed oyster shell last time I went to TSC.
