Hi everyone,

I'm writing because I've recently become very interested in breeding Brahma chickens! I'm absolutely smitten with their majestic size and gentle temperament.

The problem is, I'm having trouble finding breeders here in Europe. I've done some searching online, but haven't had much luck.

Does anyone here have experience breeding Brahmas in Europe? I'd be incredibly grateful for any advice you could offer on where to find reputable breeders.

Ideally, I'd love to connect with breeders who focus on specific Brahma varieties but I'm open to exploring all options at this point.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi.

You could want to search in France : there are A LOT of Brahma breeders here.

If you don't find any professionals online (hard to actually find the farms by searching on the internet), you could always go look at adds posted online by non-professionals.

What do you want, exactly?
Buy the chickens? Find fertilized eggs...?
What about feather colours...?

Thanks so much for your reply and the information! That's really helpful to know there are Brahma breeders in France.

Right now, I'm actually just interested in buying adult Brahma chickens themselves, I don't need fertilized eggs or have any specific feather colors in mind at this point. Ideally, I'd love to find breeders who sell breeding pairs.

Do you happen to have any recommendations or know where I could find some these ads or their contact details, even if they're non-professionals, I'd be happy to look into them.

Thanks again for your help!

You are welcome.

We love our chickens, in France.
Brahmas are one of the breeds that are especially loved, so you will be able to find breeders easily.

(I myself own several Brahmas, and I will plan to make purebred chicks next year.)

If you want adult chickens, first farm we would think about in France is La Ferme de Beaumont.
Bramas they sell are in there : https://www.fermedebeaumont.com/poules-de-race-elevage-et-vente-ferme-de-beaumont-c1745/

You also could want to look at the all adds posted in France on Le Bon Coin : https://www.leboncoin.fr/recherche?category=28&text=brahma
I could only recommend looking in Auvergne or neighbouring departments, since I personnaly don't know about the quality of the Brahmas selled elsewhere by non-professionals...
I would look here, specifically : https://www.leboncoin.fr/recherche?category=28&text=brahma&locations=d_3,d_24,d_12,d_19,d_15&page=2
(Go look on these links regularly, so you don't miss new adds!
And be careful : some sell fertilized eggs only!)

You also have Magalli chickens - they are pretty well knows here, but I don't know for their reputation (but for my part, I had two Magalli chickens in the past, and I was pleased with them).
Adult Golden Partridge Brahma here : https://www.magalli.fr/offre/poule-brahma-perdrix/
(They will tell you where to find them!)

...
Do you have a VPN? If so, connect on France, and go look with "Vente poule Brahma" or "Achat poule Brahma" on the Internet.

You will thus find some of the well-known breeders!

Trust me : it is really, really easy to find Brahmas chickens in France... Eggs, chicks, and ADULTS!

Good luck!
