Looking for chickens in or near Independence, KS

I'm about 2 hours north according to mapquest. If you wanted to meet in the middle I have adolescents looking for new homes... what kinds of chickens were you looking for?

Just some that will lay well. We use 6-8 eggs a day...
We moved here recently and used to have chickens, but no one here seems to have them. What kind do you have?

I have lots.... and lots

... along the nice layer lines I have 4 pullets and 1 cockerel they are pure white and gorgeous, they hatched late April. They were sold as Rhode Island Whites but they are straight combed not rose combed, they are defiantely a dual purpose breed built like a Rhode Island and should be very good layers. I also have extra EE hens that should lay nice green and blue eggs, they are all the same age. If you are interested let me know and I will go out and try to get a good pics of them.

Maybe $5 a hen and I'll throw the Roo in for free to keep my husband from measuring him for the crockpot

hi, I was just refered to you from another site. I live in Independence, KS and may be able to help you out. We have about 9, 2 month old chicks in need of home, and a few adolescents. The chicks are a hatching experiment from a local preschool, as are the adolescents. Some hens and roosters. I can post some pics for you if you like of the older ones, there are 3. I have some semi okay pics of the younger ones. Let me know, and I'll check back here, and maybe these will work out for you. Most are crossbred, but some are full blood RIR and barred Rock, also some americauna breeds.
