Yes they do accept dogs, but I agree with no roosters in a relatively crowded neighborhood. I'm trying to be a good neighbor and had to cull an accidental rooster for that reason.

I'm glad that my neighbors don't have a veto over my keeping chickens, but keeping a rooster that crows at 6am would make me the a-hole.

20 yrs ago, we lived in a deed restricted neighborhood. We belonged to a local 4H club and had chickens of course. We checked with all county regulations prior to building a tiny coop. Since we were involved in the 4-H organization, all we had to do was hang a sign which was a paper from the club showing we were a member and other club stuff & what not. BUT, we had Gladis Kravitz a few doors down who kept calling code enforcement on us. She was told we were granted permission to keep them and it was perfectly legal per county codes. Then the paper waiver sign kept disappearing for some reason. Funny it would be stapled with 100 staples and laminated.. but seemed to just disappear. In the end, we just stapled the 4th or 5th one to the inside of the coop and added a pad lock... and it didn't walk off any more. Strange right?
Life is funny sometimes. I can't imagine what it is like to have nothing to do than to try to bully and pester your fellow Americans for ridiculous reasons.

I've seen Animal Control come for dog barking. People even go to court over it. In a different state than the topic of the thread, however.

Hahahaha I love it! My old neighborhood didn’t allow chickens. I had four chickens. By the time they were laying, the neighbors found out my little secret and then the HOA found out. They said I would have to get rid of them or pay a fee. So they go their 10 bucks a month. I was kind enough though to not have roosters. That would have been jacked up.

I know someone who accidently moved to a town where she couldn't have chickens................ so now she has a Leghorn, a Sapphire Splash, and a Wyandot. They aren't livestock, they're "emotional support birds"
