I set my to be due Easter Sunday as well. This is my second attempt... First hatch, temps were all over the place, got an egg turner in this time, and it's going great! Got 2 last week... a week early... my sister in laws call duck eggs were put in a week before my chicken eggs. Well, she just found out, as I did, that the little blue color egg, we thought was call ducks, are actually an bantam cornish aracauna, she didn't know she had. We checked them out in the pen, and sure enough a little white speckled cornish with green legs... so I have 2 chicks in the brooder already...

Love my Cornish Calls Chicks! LOL

One call pipping right now. And a few eggs chattering away in there. Should be anytime!

This is my tiny frizzle bantam Cochin that hatched this afternoon ~ so far he is the only one of 26 that has hatched ~ but I have about 7 more pips and there is peeping going on. I had figured my hatch date to be Sunday morning ~ but I guess they had other plans!

One white call (may be crested not sure yet)

(Green Egg) Naked neck aracauna (White) so proud, I sold HER father to a breeder day before I set eggs, I wanted babies so bad by him) Will get some blues from breeder in a month. He was A+ quality! Had to let someone make babies with him!

(lite brown egg) Partially feather footed buff... Not sure who dad is, thinking it is, my dark brahma hen (mixed) and maybe dark cornish roo. Got some thick legs!

(Blue Egg) Definite aracauna mom and dad, Teaspoon. Hen was store bought, roo was silver laced looking aracauna.

(lite brown egg) Nice copper color, unsure... Isa hen, not sure daddy... hopefully White Jersey Giant, Carlisle, no green legs, so no aracauna daddy.

Five more popping now... Will email pics when they are all fluffed! DYING HERE! My 7 year old son is like a expectant mother!

I have two Buff O's hatched now, and two more that are pipped and zipping! One other BO egg (#4) is pipped, but haven't seen any more action for quite awhile....hopefully it's doing something on the underside that I just can't see...but I'm afraid it might have died.

So, with those 5 working...I've still got 7 (3 BO, one "question mark", and 3 from my own flock consisting of EE, phoenix, and either another phoenix or SS Hamburg.)
