I just got home from work today and one of my chickens is not acting like herself. she was unsteady on her feet and sitting back on her legs, and closing her eyes. She usually won't let me pick her up but she was too lethargic to even run away. She has her neck tucked in more, and it's contorted and zigzaggy. I have not seen her poop yet or eat/drink anything but when I was examining her she was dripping a little from her beak. Its as if something is stuck in her throat. Other information about her includes: Buff Brahma, 13 weeks old, free-range, 1 of 9 chickens, no sign of trauma, last thing she ate under my supervision was corn on the cob this morning.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Can you post a picture. It sounds like she might have torticolis or wry neck. That is usally treated with vitamin E 400 IU daily, plus some thiamine which is in most chick vitamins and human vitamin B complex. A few bites of scrambled egg would also supply selenium.

Thanks for the info! I'm heading out to get the Vitamins, etc. She seems better today, eating and drinking, but I kept her isolated in the pen. Your information has been very helpful!
