Looking for some advice as to why my ducks are dying.. :(

This has happened to me so many times. I've lost three ducks in the last few months from this. Although, I have found how to help them. The best thing to do is to put them under a brooder light and keep them away from the other ducks. Also, you may want to check on them frequently, because like you said, they can be fine one minute, then like that the next. I check on my ducks at least five times a day and have still gone outside to see that it is too late.
