Looking for someone who has experience with Mini Donkeys (sad post)

I didn’t read the entirety of the other responses, but I do agree with the majority of them. I don’t have personal experiences with donkeys, but I do have a john mule that I’ve owned and trained since he was hardly a year old. The first thing that needs to be said is that there is a very minimal chance of him attacking a goat - and I don’t think that selling the jenny is necessary, but I understand why you would want to sell her. It’s tough to go through such a hard thing. She was just doing what she saw was fit - she was protecting the rest of the goats and the jack. She wasn’t familiar with the baby goats and, to her, they were a threat and that could’ve harmed her and her ‘herd’. Our mule is the same. If any animal - no matter what it is - goes into his pasture, he will chase them down and kill them without a second thought. They aren’t trying to be cruel or unkind. They’re trying to keep everyone safe. If you do sell the jenny, a mini horse could be a good companion for the jack. Best of luck to you and your donkeys - they’re some of the sweetest, if some of the pickiest, animals.
