Hi Y'all
I live and flourish in Wilmington, NC and presently have 8 (4 EE's, 2 Welsummers, 2 silkies) at about 7 weeks old today. I'd like to find 4 more chicks/pullets/hens to give me a dozen layers total (I rent in the city & regulations & coop and yard size limit me to no more than 12). I don't need them immediately and want to stay with colored egg producers only. I got my 8 (hopefully) gals from My Pet Chicken and they will not ship any fewer than 9 to me...and that would put me way over what my space will allow.
I'm very willing to consider other breeds and they don't have to be youngsters. I'm not into showing (25 years of all that with other livestock) so don't care about breed standards. I'm not perfect and don't expect my ladies to be either.
Willing to get creative with whatever is available within 4 hours in any direction North, West or South of me.
