loom knitting

Oooooooooooo I love the daisies how do you make them?

I have a few looms around here, a couple wood and then the plastic ones. Haven't done it for a while, too many other things going on.

I have both the round set and long set for scarfes and blankets.. My son really likes the hats and is always requesting a new one. His hair is long

and he likes how the hats are a little looser in the weave to keep it all tucked away while he works. I usually buy the thicker yarns as I like how that works up. I'm not so sure about the more traditional yarns where you work with more than one strand. I'm still experamenting with that. I hope to get a blanket done this year. The yarn tension with regular needles has always been my downfall so the looms work well for that.

Finished a baby blanket and matching hat for a friend. This was my first hat! Loved it!

The voodoo doll was made for a cancer patient. We dressed it up as a doctor before we gave it to Dar. She laughed pretty darn hard when she got that one because she was getting poked and proded at lot at that point. (RIP Dar

The octopus is based on a scene from the movie Serenity.

The owl is Hedwig from Harry Potter. I did it for a Potter themed craft swap a few years back.

The crab is just because I am a deadliest catch fan. I named him Sig

The green thing is a Brain Slug from Futurama

The dog is a life-size replica of my friend's dog

I also made the sweater the dog is wearing.

The ugly hat is based on the TV show Firefly...

Thanks all!

I haven't done anything new in a while. My youngest son and my husband keep moving my hooks around

They are both "fidgeters". Anything they can grab in their hand, they pick up, fiddle with it, and then leave it somewhere weird. THEY DON'T EVEN REALIZE THEY DO THIS!!! Now me, being a total visual learner, get all flustered when something isn't where I left it

Oldest son is in the army and I am converting his room in to my craft room/sanctuary. Once I have a place to hide out WITH A LOCK ON THE DOOR I can pull out my looms and hooks again:D
