LOS ANGELES county CA under bird quarantine :(

Pics
hi, first post here — came here looking for info on this quarantine. i have two pet button quails that i keep in my apartment. no contact with other birds, not ever. are these considered poultry? would they have to be put down if found? im certainly hoping im safe living in an apartment in an urban area but still kind of freaked out. i was gonna drop them off with a friend to watch them when i go on vacation in April but now i guess i wouldnt be able to drive them over there??? sorry if these are dumb questions....
Welcome to BYC.
Did you happen to see the link posted a few times in this thread to your state's website?

This pertains to all birds, with domestic and wild.

Keep an eye on this site for updates:

No such thing as dumb questions!

Quail were included in the news releases on 2/13. I don't see anything here, but they are def at risk.

Only in areas where indicated. They refer to specific neighborhoods. Check out the maps to see what's up.

thanks for the response. like i said they are house pets, zero contact with other animals.....
The disease is spread from "dander" or whatever you want to call it on shoes and clothes too.
Sit tight and wait for someone to knock on your door.
Keep Lysol in your car and spray your shoes before you go home.
