Hopefully I will have really good drugs for that first few days! Did you have laproscopic
surgery or traditional?

I had an open repair, was cut from my belly button to my breastbone. My surgery was on a Friday, I had a morphine pump where you push the button every 10 minutes until sunday. I was having problems keeping my oxygen up from being on that and being in bed so they switched me to pecoset sunday, and I went home Monday. It didn't hurt too bad as long as I rememberes to push that button. My fiance says I would sleep for 8 minutes, wake up and stare at the button until the light blinked green, push it again and pass back out for the first day or so, lol.

how long ago was that?

Drove down to Indy to day for pre-op testing. I don't know anything about the CT scan, but they did tell me that the blood test showed my other kidney is firing on all cylinders, and it sounds like I don't have to do any further testing, before surgery.

In the middle of March. I had it booked for last July, found out I was pregnant when they were doing the pre surgery tests before I went to the OR (BIG suprise there!) so ended up having a stent put in. That was a pain, had to go in and have a new one placed every 2 months. Had my daughter at the end of January, and finally got my surgery done in march. I just had my last stent removed last month, I think those things were the worst part of the whole thing. I don't know if you'll have to have one, but if you do be forewarned, they are irritating.
Good luck, keep us updated!
