There are three levels of roosts. Technically 4 if you count the small pvc "training roost" they started on. They are at approximately 2, 4, and 6 feet. She was on the 6' when they went to bed last night. But these snakes climb.
This snake was just small enough to get through the chicken wire, but not quite big enough to eat the chick. That is part of what really sucks about her being killed. After a few more weeks they should all be too big for anything that can get inside the coop to even think about trying. But of course that's not a guarantee.
