Lost chickens are finally home!

Thanks everyone. they are doing so well now, I cannot tell you how pleased I am with them. I sent pics to their first mom so she could see how well they are doing now (justusnak) she did such a good job with them.

Here is a photo of the three little guys in their new private run...private until they can join the flock. I don't know if that can happen since the little roo...Scrapper is so aggressive through the fence to my alpha roo, who is also demanding to be the alpha in this flock. At this point, I am scared to turn them loose together so I will keep it this way for a few weeks to see how they interact through the fencing.

By the way, I have named the little white roo...Captain Jack Sparrow..Capt. Jack as he acts like he is invisible whenever the flock roos come around.

he looks kind of silly with that rose comb as it looks like a fancy hat...thus..the name since his looks and attitude fit.

still no name for the little red hen. She has dark green in her tail feathers and seems very laid back. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't know how to create a second flock.

I wouldn't really want to keep them all separate as there is safety in numbers..unless it is the roos trying to kill each other.

If the roo is Captain Jack Sparrow, a hen could be Miss Swann or Tia Dalma.

I love POTC too. He looks like a Captain Jack to me. Especially with those silky feet resembling the boots.

So glad to hear these birds are doing so well.

Funny how "the chickens are in the mail" has come to mean the same thing as "the check is in the mail"! Poor little things! I'm so glad you finally got them and they really seem contented. They are cute, cute, cute!

ps---I am so jealous of Bantymum in shorts and summer weather!!!
