I live in Sarasota Fl and last night lost 1 of my Bull Orpington hens. I have a coop inside a 10 x 10 dog pen. Something dug under the pen and got one of my girls. The hole was small but something pulled her out of the pen, she was a year old. There was no sign of her, only feathers that I found. Does anyone have any idea what got her. I have raccoons, skunks, and opossums.

Hi, welcome to BYC! :frow

Sorry for your loss. :(

Chances are you have a lot more predators around than that... like weasels, coyote, bob cat, mountain lion, domestic dog, fox. But yes, all of the ones you named could do it. Even rats will eat chicks and chickens alive, though that obviously wasn't it.

Hope you get more secure (figure it out) and don't lose any more birds. :fl

Thank all of you for your responses. I secured all sides of the pen so I hope the remaining girls are secure.

I recommend an apron on the run.
Man that stinks to find one missing.
The apron can be pinned down with landscape edging pins and have pavers laid on it too. It really discourages diggers. BUT don't forget about climbers and jumpers. I hope you have a lid on the run.

Maybe add a hot wire too!

Raccoons, Skunks, and Possums almost always eat their chicken on the spot.

Your chicken killer sounds like a fox to me.
