I am so sorry! I know the pain of loosing pets this way, and it is very hard!

I came home from work at lunch one day and found two dogs in with my peacocks! My beautiful male had a 6 foot tail (gone)! Lost all three of them! It is devastating! You really should make them pay. I know it will not help your pain, but maybe they will learn a lesson!

I am sooo sorry for you. I know how you must feel. Last fall we came home and found two stray dogs chasing our chickens. I saw red and nothing else I jumped in the car and started chasing them I swear I would've run them down if I'd caught them. But I didn't, they took off, we never saw them again and never found out whose dogs they were either. Amazingly, they pulled the tail off one of our Golden Comets, but that;s all the damage they did; ours had a lot of cover available as they are free range. We were so very lucky. Please press charges, file a police report. There is no excuse for anyone letting their dog do that kind of damage. I hope your friends were hiiding, and come back, and your poor injured one recovers. And btw, I love dogs and all animals....but it's the owners I can't stand.

People forget someimtes that the dog is a predator, with a normally high prey drive.

I like dogs, but this stays in my mind all the time.

Again, Im very sorry this happened. Learn from it and push on, after the tears have passed.
