These are white rocks. Guys got 8 he got in a trade. They're laying. Around 8-10 months old.

Picking up 8 white rock hens Tuesday or Wednesday. They are around 8 months old and laying.

I plan on putting 2x4's across the bottom of my coop that is fenced in so nothing can fit in and it'll have two layers of chicken wire. I'm going to get some stiff wire grate to burry around it.

I have a PVC hoop style run, do you think if I layer chicken wire over it overlapping in 2-4 layers it'll be strong enough? That's not where the breach happened, he just tore that up getting mad trying to get out.

So sorry to hear about this. That's my fear as well. I lock them in the coop as soon as it gets dark. One night I was about an hour after the sun went down. I went out and a skunk was there. I got lucky, but always lock them in each night. Hang in there!

I've had dogs dig under my pens beefore ,with a dog like that on the loose I'd dig down at least a foot and put some wire in there.

Sorry to hear about your loss, on the 13th December 2013 I lost 7 to a fox we plan on setting up a whole new 6ft mesh fence, as the 3ft pig netting didn't work

Sorry to here this. You might try getting some water sprinklers that are motion activated . A friend of mine had some to keep the deer of his lawn and he said it worked -- along with a motion light . Well sorry again, and good luck !

But after losing £140 worth of birds, if it solves the problem its definitely well worth it.
