Lost My FIL Unexpectly

Thanks so much everyone... my husband tried to goto work yesterday (he likes to keep busy to keep his mind off of things). They ended up just sending him home. He slept most the day... then g ot up and wanted to DO something, ANYTHING!

He went back to work again today though... set up an appointment yesterday that his boss couldn't cancel on him. Everyone has been really sweet here and helpful.

I think this weekend though his Father's wife wants us to come over and help clean up and organize the house. She says its a mess, half finished projects everywhere... Brian wants to start finishing the things his dad started and never got around to knocking out.

I'm really concerned about the financial mess he left behind for her and us. He invested in LOTS of real estate and its needless to say what a mess that is for everyone.

I think somewhere in my husband's heart, he's a bit angry at his dad as well for all that. I'm going to try to get someone to babysit so I can take him out to dinner and talk some tomorrow. We have time as there is no funeral to plan or wake either. Apparently, he wouldn't have wanted any kind of fuss or attention.
