took my four four-week old chicks outside today to explore temperatures were in the sixties and there were many patches of lawn between all the snow
one of my little guys took off under the porch.
i took the other chicks back in then i went in after her, crawling on my tummy in the mud, and got her out, when i crawled back out, she went right back under
so i went and got her back out, this time by the time i got back (maybe 45 seconds later) i couldn't see her , she's about the color of snow, i poked my head back under, nothing
looked all around the house, back under the porch, still couldn't find her
walked around with the dog, thinking one of us would see movement but we didn't.
finally took the other chicks back out thinking that they're chirping and cooing would attract her, we were out for more than two hours but didn't see her.
and i went back under the porch, again, to no avail.
i feel horrible for her and will keep looking until it gets dark.
