I know I'm posting a little late, Bec, but I also feel for you. It's obvious you care about your chickens. But you did the best you knew how to do. You would have been out there in a flash if you knew then what you know now. She didn't die for nothing because you'll learn from these mistakes and your other birds are now safer than they were before it happened.

She was a beauty and these words don't bring her back, I know. But you aren't a terrible chicken mom.
