Lost our duck / Incubating her eggs

I unfortunately am not experienced in hatching so cannot help, but I’m following along and excited to see the little ducklings!

I decided to start lockdown at 7am. Unfortunately I can't keep humidity where it needs to be. It keeps jumping to 80-82% when I haven't done anything.
The only thing I've done is remove the egg turner and add just a tiny bit of water to raise the humidity to 70%. I haven't touched it since then.
It stayed at 70% for a half hour
It's currently 8:25am
Did you use a calibrated hygrometer?
I never ever go by incubator readings
They are often off more then on
What kind of bator is that ? ( little giant ) if so I run those and use a hygrometer for Lizards
Calibrate then only go by it
