Lots of chickens equals no grass!

When we moved out here 3 years ago, we had grass, or weeds, or at least something green. Now we have these big patches of wasteland. They've got some craters dug so deep that Romeo, my Serama roo, can almost completely hide in them! On the bright side, we rarely have to mow the back yard now.

No grass here, Mom - nobody here but us chickens!

I can relate. My backyard looks like it's been blown up by miniture mines with all the small holes. We finally had some decent rain this past week or so and the grass is trying to make a comeback. My chickens like laying under the palmetto bushes like yours as well lol.
