"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Geez... West Monroe? That's a heck of a trip for you Chris! I wouldn't mind attending one that had a more central location, say Alexandria or Lafayette.

Yea, it's about a 4+ hour drive for me but if it's something a bunch of you guys were going to I would make the drive and check it out.

I would also like to see what it's all about. We have a place down here that might want to do something like this and I would be better informed when talking to him if I had at least went to something like this to start with, lol!

By the way, I got the 3 NH's Thursday! I should start getting eggs in a few weeks!!!!

Ok everyone, get ready for picture overload! We got phase one of the move done today. The Marans, Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas, and the youngsters got moved today and we managed to finish all the netting. Next weekend we will be moving the Black Minorcas, Lavender Ameraucanas, and the D'anvers. I am so excited to almost have this project finished, but then its off to building the pasture for the sheep and geese. The work never stops!

This is the youngsters pen. I turned a rubbermaid tub upside down to give them a little hideaway just in case it gets cold. The should be plenty warm enough, but I just wanted to be sure!

The pen for the layers. I pretty much plan to put all my cull hen in this pen.

This is my Blue wheaten roo. I don't really like his coloring, so I am hoping to find a replacement for him. The 2 hens I have with him are beautiful!

The Marans. The splash cockerel in the back will be seperated with the solid blacks once he is old enough.

My pretty blue wheaten hens. Just love them!

The young BCM and Partridge Rock chicks. I am really excited to see how the rocks turn out.

I got the netting from 3tproducts.com I ordered the 2inch heavy knotted 12.5 ft. X 150ft. for $60 plus shipping. It gets much more expensive the wider you go. If I needed to cover a wide area, I just used crab pot rings to clamp the wire together. Worked out beautifully! It did my whole coop, and I have enough left over to do my 2 dog kennels that need to be moved out there.
