I'll be at the Poultry Expo. Will be a long drive but worth it. I'm excited.

Yep, that's what the weather says for here anyway. Yeah it'll be at least a 4 hour drive but I'm going to come in Friday and stay at that hotel across the street!!

You mean winter's not over? Sigh....

Am I the only one that feels like the heat goes on forever in the summer, followed by a brief burst of perfect fall weather, only to have these crazy rollercoaster winters.

I still can't get over how much snow we got last winter. Crazy!

Barred Babies, I think my DH is with ya,. he went to Lowes for wood and brought home some tomato seeds for me to start,..looking forward to that spring salad from the garden!
Still,. I can't complain,.. we've been outside working in the yard the last week and had a nice time in this good weather knowing there had to be more cold stuff coming,. with everyone freezing and digging their way to their coops,. I shouldn't complain about the few days of cold (but I did) . Ya'll "shut the winders and stoke the fire",. there'll be warm weather soon,!

Yup, it's pretty darn cold down here in the southern part of the state too. Wayyy too cold for my taste, that's for sure. Is it too early in the year to ask when the first day of Spring is????

Yeah Buddy..Everything was frozen,. and the roosters were crowing at 5:30 to be let out,. I was NOT going out there,. when I finally did at 6:30,. the thermometer read 22,.. they ran out of the coop like it was nothing and I was shivering all over. I had made them some warm oatmeal that they chowed down on ,.. but what was left was frozen in minutes ,.. I though it was awful,.. then I turned on the weather channel and drank my coffee and thanked the Lord as I saw states who's HIGH was going to be in the negatives,...and it was -46 somewhere in MN
