SHe going down hill..i checked on here and she slupmed as on her side and this fowl looking yellow go was on the towl and on her but. Her legs are stiff and cold. I just wraped her in the towl and have her on my lap right now...i think she is fadeing away

SHe going down hill..i checked on here and she slupmed as on her side and this fowl looking yellow go was on the towl and on her but. Her legs are stiff and cold. I just wraped her in the towl and have her on my lap right now...i think she is fadeing away



She probly has/had a cracked egg inside her or maybe suffering frorm peritonitis. sounds like the yellow goo could be egg yolk it sometimes will look/or have the cosistency like the yolk of a boiled egg and smell a lot like corruption/pus infected odor.

Sorry but it happen and it happens a lot with the hi-production types ie. Sexlinks/production reds ect... they call it blowout

Thank you...she is our easter egger and she did pass on..i think your right she might had a blowout or had an egg stuck inside of her or something like that.

thank u aill..just happened so quick. the worst part is telling our oldest daughter when we go get her from school..our youngezt doesn' really know how to handle it..she was our favorite hen.

Yes, that was VERY quick. I hope the kids handle it ok. A loss is very hard on me as an adult, so I can imgaine how a child feels.
