"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

The game bird feed from Petrus is 26% but I cut it with cracked corn to bring the protein down a bit for the other animals.

That is WAY out of my pocket range. I would not be able to afford that with all of the animals that I have.
Yea, you're right. If I had to do it, I could.

I can remember my 6ft tall grandmother going out into her chicken yard and grabbing a chicken(s), ringing it's neck, plucking it and coming inside to cook it. I wish I could be like her.

It seemed so easy to her. We were the first ones at the table to eat when the food was cooked.

I think you have answered this, but I couldn't find it in the thread. Sac's in Gonzales has organic layer feed and oyster shell. The brand is Nature's Wise. That's the only organic they have for chickens. Can you tell me anything about if I buy that and oyster shell if that would be good. Right now they are on Layena and they don't like it and also I want to go organic. THANKS!!!! I am in Baton Rouge.

LOL @ Mal feeling like he "ought" to be able to jump and run. Gotta love Mal. Sending happy wishes for a speedy and jumpless and runless recovery.

Its a Cargil corp. feed same as Nutrena brand. Cargil makes their own feeds for their meat industry, that doesn't mean your getting the exact thing they make for their commercial bus. end but they have good feeds. Just not readily availble here in my neck of the woods or I'd use it, they have good layer feeds for sure. I used to get it over in East La. (Avoyelles parish) area, though.
