"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I think I would have "accidentally" knocked HER with the broom. *cough cough* and told her that I was sorry that I didn't mean to bust her aside the head and that I was trying to hit the nest.

I seriously almost peed on myself when I read this!!! You just don't know how badly I wanted to!! :)

Check out the feeders on this thread! I think I'm going to have to make a few! I've been wanting to make some PVC feeders, but never found a good solution to keeping to rain from getting in. This guy has come up with a fantastic design! It can't cost more than a regular feeder, won't rust, and the chickens can't scratch their food all over the place! https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/746195/pvc-feeder/10#post_10957729 Other project on the list. The hubby is going to kill me!

How many birds will be eating from your feeder?

:yuckyuck :lau Too Funny !!!! My crazy self would have done it and not felt bad at all. *wink wink*. LOL I would have been like, "Oops, I am so sorry. How clumsy of me to aim and miss the nest and hit you. Are you OK? Can I get you an ice pack? Looks like your forehead is swelling something awful. :idunno (while silently laughing and saying to myself tee hee hee :gig)

Gracie, how many lbs of feed do your birds go through on a weekly basis? How often do you have to fill up feeders? How often would you like to fill up feeders?

I'd say I go through a little over 25 lbs. per week in each pen (I have 3 setup right now). My other pens 3 pens are empty, but will be full by the end of the summer. Ideally I would like to only fill up once per week, but right now its every day to every other day since I don't like to leave too much feed exposed. They either scratch it out, or the rain gets it!

The larger feeder that I have, I only fill up once every 2 weeks but that Big Daddy holds 400 lbs of feed. So you wouldn't want something that big. :/

What a nutcase! (the old lady of course

) People that don't have compassion for animals get no compassion from me! I would have quit too!

We have a friend who uses this type of feeder. He made them for very little cost and loves them!
