"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

2012 Mazda2 Sport... It's not what I originally wanted, but I couldn't resist. It's my favorite color... Yes, it is very, very BLUE!

It's in transit. Here's a stock photo. I will never have that "where's-my-car-in-the-parking-lot" feeling ever again. LOL

Nice. I'm a big car person (well vehicle, I can't see myself in a car) . (just not what you would imagine a teenager to be. The exact opposite. No lifts, big tires, broken mufflers, or loud music from my vehicle! )
Just CHANGE YOUR OIL...

Need some advice- friend had a female Bronze turkey (Kate) I found her a male Bronze Turkey (Jake) so they or really getting along really good
love.gif
Kate had 3 eggs in the nest keeping the warm for about 4 days now. And this morning 1 was broke. My friend thinks Jake broke it & ate it. I think the eggs may have hit against each other when Kate was adjusting them. What do you experts think? And how do we prevent it from happing again?

That little gosling is going to drive me crazy.

He definitely marches to the beat of a different drum. --- For the last couple of days this little gosling has been in my "nursery". The rest of the goslings are in a swimming pool with pine shavings and my "nursery" is a small clear plastic container that holds the "infants". I place this plastic container in the kiddie pool so that the goslings can all see each other. Well, today when I got home from work the baby was not in the nursery. After not seeing the baby gosling I was startled and thought that it had died. I quickly looked around in the nursery but no baby gosling. I started counting goslings in the kiddie pool and there he was. He either jumped out of the nursery or was drug out by the bigger goslings but in any case the baby was assimilated with the older goslings. The little gosling seemed proud that he was able to play with the older goslings.

He sure messed up my plans to put him with my new baby that hatched today. Now, I have another new baby all by itself.

Ok. Well that would be perfect for you. I wasn't sure if you had a slew of birds over there. That feeder looks very small but if you have 10 per pen, then that would work great for you. Go for it !!!!
I'm trying not to end up with a slew of birds this time

I think I have around 16 adults (mutts and silkies), 15 juveniles, and about 30 chicks right now. Trying not to over do it!

Better keep an eye on that little gosling, I have a feeling that his days of surprising you may not be over...maybe ever!

My hubby did some math for me, and a 3.5 ft. tall feeder made out of 4 inch pipe should give me about 15 lbs. worth of capacity. I could just put one in my smaller pens and put 2 in the larger pens. I will try to make a couple this weekend to see how they work out!
