"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I don't like cold weather but I do love to sleep under the covers in cold weather. I have to keep the house kinda cold because of all of the wine making.

You keep the house cold for the wine and the wine will keep you warm and sleepy.

Yep. Jim Bean, lemons, honey, an organic tea bag, a mint leaf and water kept me VERY warm and sleepy last night. My sinuses were a beast this weekend, so I had to tame them. :hide I woke up feeling bad to the bone. :D I slept like a baby that had just had a warm bottle. I'm so cured ! :lau

I've got a dog questio:

My 1yr old male catahoula is shaking his head (ears) a lot right now. I'm thinking ear mites? Is there a "home remedy" so that I don't end up at the vets office? We'll go if needed, just hoping for an easy home remedy to avoid the expense.

Thanks

I usually make some Organic Apple mint tea when I feel chilly in cold weather, It warms me right up! A little organic honey is good in it too but the Jim Beam sounds even better! LOL

They sell dog ear mite drops at Walmart, Us old timers have been known to use food grade Mineral oil for ear mites in rabbits, too. I don't think it would hurt a dog, either, if you can't get them at the Walmart where you live.

I know there are a variety of OTC ear mite meds. but I have never had to use any before so I don't know how good they are.

My floppy eared aussie mix gets ear infections after ears get wet, from a swim usually but there are many causes. Her sign is head shaking.
I use a rinse of the canal with Diluted Vinager, wipe it out gently with a cloth- don't use anything IN the ear. Don't go anywhere in the ear that you cannot see with your eyes. Then repeat 2x's a day for a week and it subsides. We've tried 3 prescriptions from the vet and they just came back after meds were done. This rinse worked for a long time.

I used a 50/50 Vinager and water rinse the 1st time. Rinsed twice back to back, wiped out gunk and gave her xtra ACV in her water.
Then used 25% Vinager to 75% water rinse.

Hello to everybody today. I want to get my own incubator and I could use a few suggestions on what kinda of incubators y'all find works the best. I don't want anything huge just something to hatch about 24 eggs at a time. I'm not experienced, yet, so I need something easy.

I would suggest a brinsea octagon 20 myself. It hold temps better than my other incubators, and has about the capacity you are looking for.
