"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

You are 100% correct Pam.

I used it with success and on my kids FOOD allergies (strawberries and shrimp) there is an enzyme that repairs the glitch in our immune systems. So mny anti bacterial and anti viral properties. Ingestable, sweet, safe in large quantity (no over dosing) and can be used as a topical treatment. Oh ya, and its in my backyard.
I've always used it as a topical for cuts/scrapes/burns/animal injuries and as an electrolyte for weak animals. It's in my kits and cupboards in case I need something fast to help. Slather some on a skin heals better than neosporin.

I did 3 months of 1 teaspoon morning and evening, straight up, of the closest honey I could find to us before we had our own. My immune system was shot. I had just got done with surgery and a pair of HDR treatments for cancer and I was desperate to eat. I weight 92lbs and was dropping. I have a gluten allergy. Non gluten foods were not allowing me to put on weight at all during recovery. My mom sent me info on my immune system and why it was fighting gluten and that I should look into some natural assistance for recovery, Honey (raw and close to where you spend the majority of your time) was safe and easy and tasty (a lot of "natural remedies" can cause harm to a compromised systems so I always tread carefully). The radiation had killed off good cells to tho. After 14 days I was eating gluten without the PAIN it caused my guts. I still had a potty problem (sorry-tmi but gluten issues mean a ton of bathroom time for those not aware) so it wasn't a cure by any means. But it did help my immune system stop killing the good bugs in my upper intestine allowing me to consume high carbs and fats in gluten filled foods while in recovery to gain weight.
My kids both developed a food allergy by 2 years old. Swelling and hive reactions to strawberry & shrimp.
I did the same 3 months, 2 teaspoons a day and now just on occassion for a cold or sore throat. Both kids have had the foods that they couldn't. Because of the way it worked on me, didn't "fix" it, it subdued it I don't take too many chances still but it helps with other immune allergies as well.
Many people get tons of seasonal allergy relief by taking a teaspoon a day. No more allergy drugs after a few months is common :)

Trails are being done on MS patients too. Bee stings revese the attack of the immune system...like me, I'm allergic to bees. I get stung my system freaks out and tries to kill me. A non allergic person suffering from MS has the opposite effect- the venom attacks the MS not us. HATES it! But it has to come from the actual sting at the moment and thousands are needed for its effectiveness long termn science is working out the ways to extract and dose but nature's cruel and keeps her secrets tight. Takes time. Until then patients are doing it the hard way and fighting the disease. Thanks to honey bees :)

Sorry to ramble! But honey is the bees knees and its helped us so much with so lil effort its worth a try for anyone!

In Israle they are doing studies on hives That are only foraging on the plants in the study. they are trying to get Honey that helps with cancer treatment side effects. You can buy it now if you have a lot of money. I like to buy single source honeys sometimes. I use the manuka if I'm on the verge of a cold. I bought eucalipus honey I didn't think it would taste so strong. It will clear congestion so I hold my nose an eat it if
i'm congested. When you use for allergies eat the comb it contains proplis and bee pollen. I mean chew it don't swallow the wax. I don't think it would hurt you if you did. Pam

Hope everyone came through the weather ok. We just ended up with some rain in the middle of the night. Not even a hard rain.

I'm praying my kiln full of pottery isn't ruined. I started it last night when Ron got up it was on 400 degrees it should have been 1800 degrees. The Kiln is my jod he didn't know what to do. It tripped the breaker so I restarted it and hope for the best.:fl Pam

We had heavy enough winds and rain to knock open the side door a few times but nothing damaged. I agree with the honey and stings, there are many countries that have them as a tradition for healing in many forms.

Most countries are way ahead of us on natural remedies. The pharmaceutical companies have made sure of that. Pam

That's awesome!
In Mexico they do this with hives...keep them feeding on specific bushes and the honey is incredibly effective medicine! And expensive! Lol due to maintenance of purity. I have the PDFs somewhere on the plants. Going to order a few in spring and keep them next to the hives, they wont be exclusive to those plants tho maybe it'll still give them a boost? I'll look for the article and files. I have gardens everywhere over the acres and they drink from the pond which is a good center location for the bees to have to cross gardens to drink.

Oh no! Hope all turns out fine.

Should it not be... this batch shall be dubbed...Designer pottery! Unique!? EBay for stupid money! Watch them sell like crazy!

So how much raw honey should I take a day for allergies? I don't have food allergies, but mine are to animal dander and plants also dust. Also, I have a friend dying of cancer. He hasn't decided whether to do chemo again or not since they have told him it will not get rid of it. Would raw honey help him?
You can google my post on honey for cancer in Israel or anywhere and see what comes up. For you get raw local honey with comb in it start with a tea spoon three times a day. If you don't have any problems with that gradually increase the amount.Pam

I did a round of chemo 1st. And quit. Was ready to just let nature take its course, its horrible especially if it only to "buy time" because your sick during the time you bought :( Chemo is poison & scary.
Then my new doc here in Louisiana suggested a radical hysterectomy & HDR treatment because of my type of cancer. Cervical stage 2 and an overy in stage 1 and growing. So being localized still, High Dose Radiation worked well. Honey didn't help heal that I noticed, not a cure all. It helped my guts take in nutrients needed severely and helped by adding an extra ooomph to my own immune system that the chemo and radiation treatments destroyed.
There are studies of anti cancer properties but that's not why we used it :(

For common allergies find a source of Raw honey close by. Take a teaspoon twice a day or a tablespoon if the allergies are bad, monitor how allergies are effected and continue or stop taking once desired effects are evident (no more sneezing/itching/watery eyes kinda of stuff), won't hurt to continue it. I stopped after 3 months. I stuck to small amounts to see if it worked, it did. I've read tons about larger dosing (some people add it to everything to keep it in their systems-coffee/tea/baking/and other uses), I just didn't need it for them.

Sorry about your friend. It sucks so bad. I never had anyone say anything that made me feel better when I was scared and sick. Don't take that wrong, obviously people were kind and comforting and loving but even now that I'm much healthier, I still don't have words to soothe someone going through treatments, just hold their hand.

You're 100% right this time. Your digestive system is where your immune system starts. Cancer treatment kills the good and the bad. If it was me I would add raw live probiotic. If it's not in a cooler an shipped cool it's not living. And eat honey, royal jelly. Bee pollen. That's just me. Pam

I could never get mad at him. After the last big round there was still a little cancer left. He was never completely free of it. He started eating a very pure diet no sugars or carbs, fresh whole foods. He was feeling better. But the last test showed it had spread. They told him 6 months with no treatment, 2 years with full treatment, but poor quality of life. It's his decision. He loves growing things and going to Slow Food activities, so I will take him as long as he wants to go. The disease has robbed him of his resources, so he doesn't have a car and can't fix things in his house, he has been riding his bicycle to get groceries. He. lives close to the library,so he rides there. No tv, etc. it's not been easy. I help where I can. I pray a lot for him. His name is Art. Prayers are always welcomed.

He will have better quality of life and slow the cancer if he can get his body in a ph of 7. He can research that at the library. Eat a lot of greens. ACV. Mixed in water with a tea spoon of baking soda will help the P h. Disclaimer he should look all this up and decide for himself . I'm no doctor. I'm just someone with chronic illness that have found these thing helpful for me when every DR's treatment didn't work for me. Pam
