"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Thank you all for your support! I only named 4 of my flock and three of those were lost today. I still find it cruel that something killed my chickens and didn't even think to eat it. It would still hurt if they were eaten, but at least I would have understood. I live far enough into the country that no one would notice a missing hawk. My father always told me it wasn't illegal unless you got caught so try hard not to get caught. I have since watched this hawk and must say there is something off about it. Today it has killed three stray cats, my birds, and tried to attack a med stray dog. It has also been what looks like hopping around on the ground quite a bit. Not a single bite from any carcass, just a snapped neck and moved on to the next. It never came back for its kill. When I put all my birds up in the old meat tractor and it killed everything else it could find, it just moved on. If I see it again it won't be visiting anyone anymore.

That definitely sounds very off.... It would probably be best if it vanished.

That does sound "off ". It would be best if it was disposed of before it spreads it's illness.

I got a PM, didn't need my 2 cents from this pat of the country. You can't please everyone. I feel nothing but warmth otherwise. Living up to that first experience over 30 years ago. I said when I first came on line on this thread, this's is were I want to live and die. Good people and good times. Tell you to your face.... I like that. I even like this person telling me to my face. That is the right way to do it. I remember we were talking about honesty and saying what you think and not hold back. That is a good thing. To take it and give it. You never know, when I get there could end up the best of friends. That is what I know of the cajun/Louisiana people. I love it.

That's what I thought, but what would cause that behavior? It's like the gosh darn thing went mad somehow. Everything else that I have come across around here kills to eat or defend only.

Makeup is such a snitch.

I watched a video that moved me to tears and I'd been wiping my eyes for 20 minutes and my husband comes in and asks what wrong and I tried to harness the baby and said "Nothing. I'm fine." And he tells me "No you aren't. You look like a raccoon."

PM them back an tell them to mind their own dammed business you've already been welcomed here previously if I recall right. I think the person bitching has less posts here then you do so far and you said it right if they don't want to read yours or anybody else's posts, block them its that simple.

Its for sure a hen party around here I tune in daily to get my estrogen fix but hey its an everbody thread we have had a few Texans, Missisipians a couple from Alabam pass thru, not too many of them frequent here much anymore but (can you blame them) it takes moxie to gather round the camp fire to hang around and bide with all this for a spell, you sound like you possess such though LOL

I can't believe someone would go off and say such myself they won't be here too long with an attitude like that someone here will check that for them this group of La-yers won't go for bad attitudes, well a few do get to hang loose here but they are "special ones" LOL

Oh by the way donkey's and chickens complement each other just fine the donkeys chew the grass up and deposit it out then the chickens come along behind them dispose of those piles(recycle 'em) by turning it into perfect compost and fertilizer for the gardens and you don't even have to deal with the hay/grass seeds (after-effects) then.
