I don't think that my Tom Turkey will walk again. He has been sitting down since Friday. I will give him a few days and if there is no progress, I will have to put him down. His legs or feet or hip could be broke, injured or something more, which is why he an't walk. I don't know but I can't see him just sitting in one spot for the rest of his life. That is not the quality of life that I want for my animals. If I have to put him down, then he will be going in the freezer. He feels like he weighs about 50 lbs if not more. I"m getting upset all over again just thinking about what happened with that dog.

My hen that was badly injured stayed in a box in my utility room for 2weeks. She didn't move a lot the first week. I would give her a soak in ebsons salt to help her heal and keep things clean. She loved the warm soak. Then I would use betadine . The salt might help your tom it has magnesium which helps soft tissue heal. I would give him more time..

Didn't you guys know? The meat from those chickens will restore your youth and make the extra weight vanish in a matter of days! No more winkles, aching body parts and plus sized clothes! That is a great bargain all said and done!

I was trying to think of some everyday expressions that come from chickens:
1. Pecking order
2. Flew the coop
3. Cooped up
4. Birds of a feather flock together
5. Don't count your chickens before they hatch
6. What came first, the chicken or the egg?
7. Rules the roost
8. Hen pecked
9. Gets up with the chickens
10. Goes to bed with the chickens
11. ??????

Ewe crazy farms has these too. They don't have a price they are selling at a rare breed auction. I wish I had the money for there Cerel Orpingtons. Last year there price was 250.00 they are beautiful but it's to expensive

I did see on Dr oz or some show that black foods had a health giving pigment. They showed the chicken but the also showed rice. They never mentioned the price of the chicken it was already dressed.

Hanging out at the in laws so we can get a warm shower........still no power at our place. Even though other people that their power went out way AFTER us have had their power turned back on already. Seriously our power is the first to go and the last to be turned back on. I don't understand the logic of Cleco and I wish so much that they had some competition.

Me too! I have cleco here. The price of electric is one price then I get fuel charge,a charge for up grades post katrina,etc. If I was just paying for the elec.the price would be reasonable. There should be compition!
