Im freezing, the birds are all very angry at the weather- yards are all flooded with a few inches of water and they refuse to come out (except Blue and her chicks are nice and toasty in a brooder ) and even the bunnies are Bleh today
I did get one small garden planted/fertilized/watered by the rain in only 3 more to go
Need to go veggie seed shopping. A now dead mouse found my stash of thousands and nested fat and happy thru winter. :/
I did a trade over winter for bulbs...these are flowering now she said "they're pretty but I dunno what they are" lol Ta-da! They remind me of Easter
Mamas getting ready to kindle ...right before a cold front tonight n tomorrow
Guy fighting to keep his chickens in amite made the paper :/ news can be helpful but more often all non chicken people see is a band wagon to jump on when they read the articles :/
I have to work during the parades here this weekend (and last weekend) its horribly gross. Trash thrown about, public intoxication, peein and pooping everywhere in our buildings, kids running around streets unattended almost hit by parking cars driven by half already drunk people going to
throw more trash about...whoo hoo let's party! ug I'm on the poop end playing referee/crowd control and clean up. Can you read my enthusiasm I have!? Lol
So, before any of the hoopla I sit and watch a sunrise it made my day almost pleasant! I hope on saturday I get to see another
Good morning peeps. It was a terrible night last night. Lots of rain and cold weather. I hate this weather. I hope everyone survived the night. It will get down into the 30's tonight. Hunker Down y'all.

We will be selling out by the Trade Days Bldg. This is not limited to just chickens! Rabbits, quail, geese, turkeys, guinea, etc., are welcome. For more info I can be reached at 337-375-4534. Beautiful pics! the flowers are Narcissus - we have tons of them springing up here - one of the first flowers to bloom in the spring (not that you can tell it's anywhere near spring today)!

We are escaping town...last minute decision. I've set up someone to take care of the horses, chickens and dogs (two different people). Escaping to the mountains. Heading TO cold and snow.
But AWAY from horse stalls and mud!! A few days without that will be wonderful!! Plus, I should have time to study, as I DO NOT ski!! Love to tube and ice skate.
Can anybody go to this? Even if they don't have anything to swap or sell?
I'll be there to look around. Who's idea was it to schedule it the same day as the quilt show? Not cool man, not cool! Where have you advertised other then here? You might want to print something out about it for circle c, tsc, and get healthy. Those would be your best bet to drum up some last min folks.

Me and thee! I hate this weather too. February has been the longest month this year. Yard looks like a swamp again, hens are disgruntled and I can't get warm enough!
