I did that for about 4 months. Saved about $1800 and still have some stock up supplies from it. I got busy and it takes time and good timing to do. But worth it usually. I had to spend money to save money BUT paid pennies on the dollar for hundreds of items.

I collected from my mom too who still sends me packs of coupons you are welcome too. I also collected from my mail man. He always had extra inserts and would leave the extras the next day in a stack for me next to mail box.
The newspaper ones well...we don't speak of that lol
It gets very addictive lol there's a store policy for almost every store available too that will help.

Yes!!!! Particularly the RED PLUM and Smart Source. I have access to the others in the pic. I have graduated to my next hobby of EXTREME couponing. Although I do coupon, I am in training to the EXTREME. I am doing the stock pile shopping now where I want to get 10 bottles of dish washing liquid for $0.25.

I would love to get those coupons!!! I can send you envelopes with stamps and whenever you get those, just put them in the mail to me please. I would appreciate it. THANK YOU!!

You are right! It takes A lot of time. I have spurts where I will get a few things but not much. Since it's just me and there aren't really a lot of things that I can use because of sinus problems and skin allergies, my list is limited to what I can buy. But I want to stock up on toilet paper, paper towels, and things like that. The only thing I can stock up as far as food are veggies, Jasmine Rice, grain cereal and a few other items but not much.

I am testing out the different stores on who accepts what, how many, etc. I tested Dollar tree yesterday and bought 3 items for $0.25. Two Hefty freezer bags and a 1/2 gallon soymilk for my soap. Not bad. And I have 10 more coupons to use over there with 8 items that will be free. I know it will be addictive. I think this will take the place of the broilers. LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

Happy Wednesday chicken folks! I did something yesterday that is not the norm for me. I asked someone for something on a trash pile at their curb I had spotted these the day before, but I wasn't going to just stand in front of their house and pull them out of their brush pile. Yesterday I saw the guy out mowing and he was happy to put them into the back of my van for me My first thought was to paint them with outdoor paint and put them in our new chicken house. But I am also considering just refinishing them. They are so sturdy and cute little baby chairs! The guy wanted to refinish them but his wife was just "not into it" I think he was trying to keep the peace by throwing them out and was happy they had a new home that wasn't the trash. They are just a little dirty, not bad at all.

Anything put out in the trash is considered public domain. If it's at the curb anyone can take it. It was nice of you to ask but you didn't have to.

I had to get out a new scale that I had got on clearance just in case I needed an extra. Well, I needed an extra because I tried to weigh some of my Nuggets and they broke the scale

It was given to me long ago by someone that didn't want it anymore, so no biggie. So got the new scale figured out an weighed them. 4 are right at 5lbs 8oz and one at 5lbs 14oz and the biggest (the one I suspect may be a roo) is 6lbs 5oz. Not too bad for their age.

X3. Proud of you for taking that first step of picking up good stuff. I started in about 1979 when I was living in Port Allen and my neighbor asked if I wanted to go trash picking. I never heard of such a thing and was shy my first time and, I admit it, embarrassed. Well, I have been over that for many years. If the owners are out there I just wave as I load it up. Sometimes I take fotos back and asked if they want to see what I made. They are always amazed and sometimes a bit jealous. One said he wanted to make something but his wife made him throw it away. I am always on the lookout. Here's a table I got yesterday. It is very heavy and sturdy. Not sure what I will use it for, but there are many options. I love it.

PS. You snooze you lose. Good stuff goes fast. If I pass it up on the way to the grocery, it'll be gone when I get back. LOl
