I was just telling the wife like 2 days ago. "I dont think Im gonna can any figs this year".
But I wil, I dont have any fig trees in my yard but I have access to so many its to hard to pass up, as a matter of fact I call my maw maw on my lunch break to see how her trees where doing. I cant resist. I will have to make some for yall.

I hope my figs ripen- it's been so dry they are still hard, green little lumps on the tree. I love the mock strawberry fig jam - can eat it like candy!
Sure am hoping this nice rain makes them ripen. I also like to dry some to use at Christmas in the Italian fig cookies.

These are considered pied or white head. Generally all pieds have black on the head also but muscovy come in so many color variations that some dont really have a dead set color name lol

I loved them when I was a kid but ate so many one time that I cant even smell them now without issues.

Thanks for the explanation.

So now can you explain why ducks, geese and peas are called "pied" and chickens are called "mutts" if they are "mixed' with another color/breed?

Wouldn't ducks, geese and peas be mutts as well?
