Last fall I had a predator come up into my coop and take out several of my chickens -- they are at more danger at night than during the day.

They are a Menace To Society. They run in a pack and are relentless. If you see them sprinting your way, I suggest you run for your life cause it ain't gonna be pretty. I just get the camera ready to see who is about to be tortured. MY GOSH!

HOLY crap they grow fast!! My goodness that amazing!! Yea I probably would run never having been around them before!!

Yes, they do grow fast. The 30% protein feed helps with that.

mice or rats will dig those holes.I find them all the time when moving doghouses and nestboxes(etc) around.... I have a pack of tweenagers who like to always be at my feet when I'm moving stuff around...lol... My feathered mowsers...lol...

How many of ya'll have actually watched a turkey fight between males?? That it probably one of the most hilarious things at times to watch. Before I cleared my turkeys out,my white got into the field with my buff. They ran around "fighting" for an hour or so.They just wrap their necks around each other and run each other into things trying to get em..I know REAL aggressive males have bloody fights, but these two were horrible fighters....lol... OMG!!!

Well it thundered & lightened & we could actually see rain across the highway----but we did not get a drop!!!!

Turkeys and ducks and sheep, Oh My!!! and here I was congratulating myself this evening that I am down to 12 of my "main" laying flock plus the 2 batches of this years' hatchings (14 in one group & 7 in the other).

Did not spot any coyotes on the highway this morning, & nothing in the traps.

What are you all using in your traps for bait?

That is exactly where I found the tunnel. It was under a doghouse top that I have for my baby ducklings and mama to go under.

And yes, I have witnessed 2 male turkeys fighting. It IS hilarious.

Has it been a long day or what?!?! I woke up early to go get my sheep and am just now able to sit down and rest! I helped my stepdad get the majority of his new guinea pen wired in. We worked until dark, and are ALMOST done! Well, so far I LOVE the sheep

The little ram looks like he could have stayed with the mom a while longer, but he is eating well so I'm sure he will be fine. He is just a little lonely
sad.png
I picked him up while I was stuck in the barn during a rain storm, and he just snuggled up in my lap and went to sleep. I had to put him down and tell myself that he was destined for the pot! I almost wish he was old and ugly so I wouldn't like him.

Get ready for picture overload!

Here are the 2 girls. We named them Lola and Sammi

This is the little ram. We thought about naming him "O-baaaa-ma" since his term at the farm will be up in 2012 and we aren't too disappointed by that
