X 3!Same here! I'm so frustrated.![]()
I agree on pricing. We have some locals who are breeding, breeding, breeding so they can sell birds dirt cheap that aren't good quality birds. I hate having that argument with folks. If you want birds that are not bred well...go on and pay your couple of bucks for them. When they die on ya in a couple of weeks or end up ugly...call me and we'll discuss pretty, well fed, good dispositioned birds.Thank the Lord! It's not just me!![]()
I have an extra Sebbie gander that I have for sale for $75. I took him to the swap in DeRidder last weekend, and some guy says "Hell, I bought one of those for only $15 last summer." I told him that I would take him home before I settled for less, and that's exactly what I did! This was the same guy that pulled 3 goats, an African goose, quail, chickens, cages, and his wife all out of a tiny Pontiac Sunfire!![]()
My prices are what they are. They are fair, and while someone may think they are high, then I suggest that person make a quick trip to Google to see what people are getting elsewhere. My birds are not mutts or inferior quality, and if they were I would price them as such. I don't keep my birds to make money, but I'd at least be able to cover my feed bill lol.
Nice pea pics Julie!
I have to tell you, you are spot on about the gamebird pellets -- I am SO GLAD I switched to those from the crumble -- so much less waste! The blooming Morons, I mean Marans, acted like kids at a frat party when I put crumble in their brooder -- feed went flying everywhere! - they are very disgruntled now because there is no more waste - I also switched to a different kind of feeder so they can get into it - just stick their greedy little beaks into the feeder. Too bad chicklets, time to grow up & learn table manners!![]()
Gracie, someone flagged your ad. It's not there.I don't know if anyone is interested, but I have an extra smooth breasted white Sebbie gander for sale. He can be seen here: http://lakecharles.craigslist.org/grd/3638344374.html Willing to trade him for a female goat or hair sheep. Something to help keep the weeds downI'll be bringing him to the Moss Bluff swap on Saturday if he doesn't sell by then.![]()
