"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I am SO not a tech savy person, but what I do is email the foto to myself from my phone, then open the email/foto in my computer, then copy the foto to "my pictures" then upload the foto to BYC from there.  I hope this works for you.  :)
thanks! That's usually what I do also, but was hoping I could upload it straight from my phone. Oh well.

When u want to up load a pic. In the reply box you should see 3 small squares in the top left corner. One has a "B" on it. The second had a thing that looks like a chain link. The third one has another little square. That is the one to use to upload pics. Just follow the prompts and all should go well.
about that.... Lol... I can get that far but then when it says enter URL, idk what to put

I just picked up my ACV yesterday. Going to try this out this week. I have never heard anything about animal protein & fermenting. Please elaborate if there is something I need to know.

If you don't want to use animal protien, then wouldn't soybean meal make a very good protein booster? I know some people are against soy as well, so I don't know if you are interested in going that route. I know a lot of broiler rations consist of soybean meal, so it should make a safe additive to your mix. I even read that I can give it to my sheep if they need extra protein.

I use a mash from Coyote Creek Organic Mill in TX. Their chick starter and developer/grower have both soy and fish meal for protein. They offer the layer in regular or soy-free. I have used both for my FF and really don't notice a difference in the smell. There is a bit of a difference in smell between the developer and layer, but I have never had a bad odor. It usually smells a bit like sourdough or beer.

I have had zero issues using animal protein in my ferment. As a matter of fact, I have spoken to people who even ferment their dog and cat food, and I would think that has way more animal protein. The only time I have heard of someone having a bad odor is if they didn't "feed" and aerate their mixture.
Well we went to the chicken swap in Moss Bluff to try and sell some silkie chicks. Talk about a big waste of time! I was selling them for half of what I usually charge, and people still thought it was too high

I just packed my babies up and took them home!

We picked the new ram up yesterday, and figured the dog crate would be the easiest thing to transport him in at this age. Well as you can see, my husbands hunting dog was not too pleased about this new guy hanging out in her crate! As soon as we opened the door, she hopped in there and looked at him as if to say "Man dad, this sure is a funny looking bird dog!"

What colors and age Silkies do you have right now? I might be interested in getting a couple from you.
The look on your Lab's face is priceless!!!!

You have to be using the mobile version of BYC (you can switch between mobile & desktop at the very bottom of the page) and you have to have your iPhone software updated to a pretty current release.

When you click on the photo icon, you will be able to choose to upload from your device. :)

I'm on my iPhone...here's a bad phone pic of a couple of my BLRWs.

Hey y'all. I thought I'd just say "hey" :). I'm from Louisiana and I've been lurking a bit. Just thought I'd say a quick hello and try to get to know some of my neighbors here.

I'm fairly new to raising poultry. I have inspected plenty of them, though, and worked the kill floor! I was a meat inspector for 10 years before going back to school. I am really info hungry right now!! :)

We currently just have ducks (as far as poultry goes - but have horses, donkey, dog, house cat, too). I have grown very attached to the ducks and ducklings! I am wanting to get some geese and chickens now, too. However, much to my husbands dismay! LOL. But I always win out! :) He can't help he's a "city boy".

Anyway, hello to everyone!

Anyone know how to upload a picture from an iPhone on here? Know how to do it from the computer but can't figure it out from my phone.

Ok like luvmychicken said. It's the third square. It has a little mountain and a sun in it. Here's what my phone's giving me:

And then when it says URL I think you mean this.

And if it gives you the button just click upload.

If it doesn't give you the upload button then you'll have to describe what the screen looks like.

The URL is used for photos that are already uploaded so you do not have to upload them again. Lets say I wanted to add one of my old pics into today's post. I would go to my photo album on my profile, right click and click "copy item URL" ,and then paste it into the URL space.

I'm pretty good with most technology. I actually took a college course last year in Houston on programming. So if this doesn't work then don't hesitate to ask.

Got wooden posts cemented in the ground over the weekend and put most of the run fence up today. But now I'm wide awake..

I think I will end up doing FF feed. Especially if I ever do meaties. Didn't realize that there couldn't be animal protein in it.
