Just a really quick post to let u all know today is a very sad day. I went out to feed to ducks this morning, and found 8 dead. If the two that are left, one is hurt badly. I patched her up best I could. Maybe she will make it. I have been hiding in the bedroom and bathroom so that my 2 1/2 year old wont see me. His Nana just came to take him to school. I don't know how I'm going to make it through the day right now.......
 
Talking of Baby Birds: I was sitting in my bedroom and noticed a dove sitting on a nest in the GUTTER! I watched her be a good mommy for a couple of days, but I knew that that gutter floods and overflows when it rains and that the nest and eggs would be washing away. When the forecast came of heavy rains and she was still sitting, I decided to take action. There is a covered bird feeder only a couple of feet from the nest, so I put two parallel bricks into the feeder to simulate the width and confinement of the gutter and put on garden gloves and carefully moved the nest (2 eggs) from the gutter to the feeder. Of course, the mother flew away, but I hoped she would come back. She did, but it was days later and too late. I was just wondering if I could have done anything else to save the birds?

OH NO!!!!!!!!! I am so sorry to hear this. :hugs

What do you think happened? I am so sad to hear this news. I am hoping that the remaining make it. What can we do to help you from this end? Do you have them patched up ok? Any suggestions you need? Any advice? I don't know what to say.

Try to be strong but you will have to get as much crying out as possible while your 2 1/2 year old is gone today. Cry as much and as often as you can. If you are in the house alone and you need to scream and holler, you will need to do that. It may make you feel just a little bit better. But do not hold you hurt in. You have to release it.

Oh no!! So sorry! Bless your heart. A good cry in the shower always helps. Let us know if there is anything we can do.
