They also love eating the rind of the watermelon. Nothing goes to waste.Yes it is and that is where I'm headed here in about ten minutes to my watermelon patch I got to get what the crows and coons haven't yet destroyed and gather up the ones they have and bring them to the critters here they are gonna be sick of watermelon by this evening. I planted 148 hills and they did well till the crows discovered them but it was too late by then next season I'm gonna surprise them with kite string canopy and it'll be closer to the house too within "shootgun range" that'll really surprise them LOL
Wow, that's a lot of watermelon!
They sure do look like they were enjoying!!! Every time I give my hens watermelon they eat every last scrap except the very, very thing green skin. And that green skin just rolls up into a dry crispy little roll. There is no denying their enjoyment for sure! And that wine looks VERY bubbly! Lol!

If the sheep don't eat the green rind, then I can look for the crispy roll.
I have seen that same dry crispy little roll.If the sheep don't eat the green rind, then I can look for the crispy roll.

What a great party!!!I started (2) 5 gallon buckets of watermelon wine a couple weeks ago. It was the watermelon with the orange meat inside. We'll see how that turns out. I will probably start a batch with the red meat watermelon next. I'm running out of buckets and room in my house.![]()
