He holds the bird in place and the cap spins. Fast, pulling feathers from the bird and he rotates bird for the rubber fingers to hit all feathered areas. Only takes about 1 min and the rubber isn't hitting hard enough to cause much tenderizing, skin stays in tact.
The barrel is used to catch the feathers being thrown :/ not so tasty being force fed feathers at 60 mph lol
He has a few tweaks and then ill post pics and a quick how to on a thread (or here I can but wasn't sure how thorough of info to post on this page, maybe this stuff is way old news because I'm new to the chicken world and I'm just excited were doing it! Haha. )
He wants drill mounted, 2 hands to hold bird makes it MUCH easier.
Unless you have a helper to hold drill (i wasn't here for this bird lol still a virgin at chicken kill/clean. Lol) and now wants to get a set of meaties going soon!
Is it cheaper to order larger quantity of chicks? I think freezer space dictates our limits here lol

I don't understand how the little black rubber things pluck a chicken. Also, I assume the drum is to roll it around. Does bouncing in the drum hurt the meat? Just curious. Also you should post this on the DIY thread. I don't think they have ever had a plucker on there. Mostly feeders and waterers. I think they would love it.
