I've always had cougarish tendencies. Lol. But not the "supporting another person" part either. Lol
I do have to admit (after having been married to a man 4 years my junior for the last 17yrs) that having a younger, more........shall we say.....more energetic spouse certainly has its advantages.

Now I am cracking myself up.

Boy do I empathize. I have had fun, fallen off a roof, jumped over a curb, to keep from being hit by a car. Turned out to be a 12' drop. Fell out of trees, fell off an other cliff, hit by cars 2 time, thrown from a spoked horse once. Not thrown by a bucking horse, I road it out, (big horse too far down), and to numerous to count mishaps that happen when you put yourself in a position were you could get hurt. Been beaten up, strangled, and been body slammed and boot in my back....... Sounds like a lot but from the time I was able to walk I was on the move. Oh! I also jumped or balled out of moving vehicles 3 times. No broken bones I know how to fall and land. After I learned how to jump out of airplanes I got even better at landing.

My body is full of arthritis, I did have 1 knee replace with a Sryker Knee. I love it, but I think I am the exception. I can bend mine more the most, kneel on it on a soft service. I can run with it and when I was living an a sailboat I kept forgetting which one to use to pull me up into the boat from my dingy. I also drove a semi with it and no problems. However, the less I use it the more I feel it. I was very sick for about 3 weeks, in beed most of the time, by the time I was well my knee was in pain. 5-1/2 months after surgery I went to Carlsbad Caverns, walked all over it. My doctor said it was a little early for that but if I can do it go for it.

Mt other knee is also damaged, but I hope I will not have to replace it. My mon is 97, she has 2 knees, 1 elbow, 2 hips, and a shoulder replacement s. She also has a high tolerance for pain. She walked for 2 weeks with. Broken hip, which is impossible to walk on. But she did. When she broke 4 ribs she took pain meds for 2 days only. GOOD GREF! :ep A long line of tuff people on both sides of my family.
