"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

How did you know at birth til 2? You been talking to my family? The little Stinker was so Stinky, they couldn't wash the smell off of me. :lau

I wasn't really a bad child. I was obedient and I listened to my parents. My father was a retired Air Force man, so I knew better than to be disobedient. My only problem was that I spoke my mind as a child and growing up and would sometimes embarrass my parents when adults asked me something and I told them the truth. :hide I had trouble keeping my mouth shut. Can you tell? Does it still show til this day? :lau

My parents were strict. No more about that, but we often have similaries, Kuntrygirl, and I was a speak my mind child. From the time I could speak I would say "do it myself." Funny how those early personality traits hang in through life. We learn to temper it, but it is always there. My son in law is a "beat around the bush" person. It takes an hour of conversation to get to what he wants, something that could be said in a sentence. I'm not talking about pleasant small talk. I am talking about he just can't say what he wants. Bless his heart. When I talk to my grand kids I tell them to say what they want, give me a yes or no. Now I'm not saying my way is right and his way is wrong. Just personalities. He thinks I'm blunt and I think he just needs to say what he wants. Lol. Got to love the difference.

Oh, I would have to tear my eyeballs out and throw them up against and then use them as marbles if I had to have a conversation with your son-in-law. :gig I have a co-worker who will give you a dissertation or recite a term paper when you ask her a simple question. I CAN"T STAND THAT !!! Just tell me YE S OR NO! I don't need all of that other stuff.

LOL @ Bless His Heart. :lau

Everyone know if you ask me something expect to hear the truth. And I expect the same from others. I"m very blunt and to the point. I don't know any other way. That's one reason why I have a small circle of friends for 35+ years because we all have the same personalities and we tell it like it is and we keep each other straight. We tell each other when one is wrong and is out of line and that's it. The only way I know.

Looking back on my childhood, I never got a whipping for my truthful (tell it like it is) mouth. I guess they couldn't whip me or punish me for telling the truth and telling it like it is. :idunno

I teach my great nieces and great nephews the same way. So, when something happens when they are with their parents, they always "blame" me for whatever their child says.

I just thought about my nephew (my brother's son) has been sent to the principal's office several times because he corrects his teacher all the time. His teacher will either mispronounce words or give incorrect answers in class and my nephew will raise his hand and correct her and she will get mad and embarrassed and send him to the principal's office. When he gets there and explains to the principal what happens, there is nothing that they can do to him because he didn't disrespect her and talk out of line. He will politely raise his hand and tell her the correct pronunciation of the word or provide the correct answer to the question (since it's obvious she doesn't know it). And she has a college degree? Bless Her Heart. :smack

Are you doing meal worms or red wigglers?

Mealworms, and I was referring to the cup of them I found long forgotten in the back of the fridge a year ago that were still freaking alive!! I now have tiny babies in my containers with the ones I've been trying to get started over the last few months.
