Been a great day really lol I got ovated for my ovations today AND got a raise at work. Have been working on getting the pool ready and the mistress is buying me tons of flowers to plant in the gardens I made around the pool deck!

build them and people will fill them!
Getting prepped to process the last of our broilers this weekend. They're trying to mate my hens! It's so sad to see them fall down and I laugh and laugh at chubby boys trying Soooooo hard

can't wait til this batch is done. Lol the hoop coop will be gone and we will be building a matching large coop to our smaller wood coop.

packed up a box to get out on the mail finally, found out the cherry tree has cherries on it! Woot woot! Been busy and I'm exhausted but hey you're not living right if your not tired right?

That's it. The worst hatch year I've ever had. All these in the picture are dead. Can't believe this... I'll catch up with you guys later... Gotta bleach my bator again..

Chickenbelle has BBS and Wheaten Ameraucanas. I have some hatching eggs I'm hatching for the Easter-hatch-a-long from her.


Well I haven't been too active on her the last short bit mainly because of how sick I have been getting. That and the hormones. I got an ultrasound today and my ONE baby is at about 7 1/2 weeks development.

Anyone have an opinion as to whether this is a little hen or a roo?? I have not ever had Wyandottes so I don't have experience with their comb color and growth speed. This bird is def on the larger size compared to even the White Plymouth Rocks. And it has a fair amount of "Sass" I really like it! Then end of the week it will be 8weeks old.

Ovations have been going on since 2012 but the notification thing must be new. To be honest, I didn't realize I had ovations until about a year after it started. :/

I have wayandtts first time seeing white. From the pics I'd say hen my avatar are gold laced ones at about that age. They grow fast mine are 4 months and I think yesterday's small egg was ones first egg. A side view would help but I think hen. Are the legs wider than the rest? I have silver laced too about six weeks old. Here's a pic of the older ones.

The other is a silver laced at about 5 weeks.

The bird in question.....its comb is almost as big as your hen! That's really good that you are already getting eggs at 4 months. Even at 5 weeks this one had a really red comb. I would like it to be a hen. But my husband wants it to be a roo. I will get more pictures.
