Good job! I think if you have racoons in your area please use hardwhere cloth. chicked wire isn't strong enough for some of our preditors. Pam

The smell of fresh chicken will entice them in, everything loves chicken. LOL

EVERYTHING will be attracted to the new buffet of roosting chickens.

Here we fight 4 birds of prey, opossums, coons, snakes, rats, stray dogs, neighbors pets, bobcats & man. And I live in the city, technically
We wrapped our outdoor rabbitry on chicken wire (they are in hung locked cages) just so we could see the breech and stay secure (a tear in the wire means somethin wants or got in)

Good point. I'll pay close attention and mud add some welded wire later. I've had 1 Wyandotte since easter Sunday looking for more can't find a breeder close to me

Have you had chickens in those years? Now you have provided a food source for them. Their are many predators in La. I'm only trying to save you some heart ache. I hope I'm wrong and you are right. I would rather have that ounce of prevention. Pam
