"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I do get low in the winter.  So I have been taking 10,000 IU of D3 a day.  Sometimes twice a day.  And I get the B12 shots once a week and I use the sublingual tabs whenever.....sometimes a couple of times a day.  This weather the past 7-8 days though has kicked my butt and really amped up my pain level.  It probably doesn't help that I had my DR lower my dosage of pain meds back in the summer when I always feel better.  But I just hate having to take any pain meds so I don't want to go ask them to raise it again.  Going to see if I can get through it instead.  I might figure something out :fl

I had breast cancer 5 years ago and because I had multiple surgeries on one side I have weakened muscles there. I was exercising pretty regularly the last couple years and tore the ligaments in my chest. Now I pretty much live in constant pain plus I have a4 month old baby I'm always carrying which doesn't help the healing. I don't like taking pain relievers at all, don't like the way they make me feel and the side effects. Plus I'm allergic to some of the majors. Anyway all that said, I feel so much better in general when I'm taking magnesium, staying away from gluten and unfortunately staying away from coffee which I'm loath to do. But the best help seems to be constant prayer, Jesus does the best job. :) Although I haven't checked my D levels in awhile, I would guess they are better than they used to be due to a better diet in general and good supplements.

Thanks! I need all the good vibes I can get!!! I haven't herd it make any noise except for fear squawking getting moved to a pen. It has to small wattles right now The smallest I've seen but I have no guineas knowledge at all. If it's a female I will take one of yours.I'll let you in on a secret. Friends don't let friends pay full price. LMAO! Pam

You are more than welcome to 1 or 2 of my extra males. Seriously, guineas are the BEST snake protection I've ever had! I will have to move out 2 males by next spring (March-ish).

Happy winter solstice everybody! now the days will start getting longer --

Vitamin D deficiency? Mine was about half of "normal" and I'm on a HUGE weekly dose now. I have to go for more bloodwork to see if that will also solve a few other problems. I get so, so sleepy sometimes. One day in the summer I walked from the kitchen to the office, maybe 20 yards? I could feel myself sinking so I tried to walk back to my car, to drive home (less than 1/4 mile). Instead I opened the hatch, closed it back, and slept on the floor for over an hour.

It happened several times like that, and really scared me because in the off season I'm the only one home with my 2-yo. Luckily I haven't had anything nearly as bad since taking the vitamin d. What's REALLY funny is that I was looking up good food sources of vitamin D and found that one was fish, and one is egg yolks. So two summers ago I got on this kick and I was eating eggs with spinach/pumpkin seeds/sunflower seeds, etc. every morning, and either tuna on salad, or herring/sardines every day. I never felt better in my life. It's so funny when our bodies know what we need.
Yeah, that is really scary. I hadn't thought about Vitamin D. My DD is so tired that I bought some magnesium yesterday to see if it would help.

Ron asked me today what I was going to do with these chicks their about 12 weeks plus the guinea. I just love the way he takes them in and I have to deal with keeping them or getting rid of them. If I can find out its a female I'll keep it and take a male off your hands.
As for the foul pox I did a group of treatment with iodine. And a group with my own essential oil healing ointment. The ones with iodine systems got worse and took longer to heal. The one treated with my own ointment started healing right away the didn't get worse healed right away. None progressed to wet. None needed antibiotics. This could be that I was on the lookout for it and treated in the wart stage before they turned into scabes. Pam

I don't know if any of you have read about the Avian Influenza outbreak.

http://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http:...vKbPMoDhaagagXKaDJHAs9w-S9YlUQkg3KYdd7MsJ&s=1

the link takes you to the USDA report that you have to open the document to read it.  Its being carried by wild birds and had infected a flock of someone's poultry.

Here is a link to an information brochure

http://www.usda.gov/documents/AvianFluBrochure.pdf

The symptoms are described on the first page in the far right column.
