Here at camp we have a long-standing tradition of "Christmas in July," an event where we wear Christmas clothes, have a big meal, put up the tree, and basically pretend it's Christmas. It's just for the staff.

And this year I was gifted guinea keets! :lau

Does anyone have any guinea advice for me? I have four keets, and I think they're about a month old. The only feed I have is flockraiser; should they be eating game bird? Is it possible to tame them any? These are WILD.

You own and/or live at at campground? We got our first camper little more than a year ago and love camping!

We sure do! It's a summer camp and retreat facility. We have a week and a half left for the summer. :D

I had one Camping they are noisiy. Will run all over on there own. They are good to keep snakes away. And will let you know if anyone comes over. Mine stayed in the coop with the chickens She would inch closer each night to the head rooster. Till she got right next to him and acted as head hen.Yours might keep to themselves because the will be their own flock.Pam

Woke up this morning to two hatched and four pipping. It was a very pleasant surprise! There are four more eggs that could hatch. One of the pipped eggs gave up I believe, since I see no movement. A guaranteed five chicks, and a possible nine out of 12 shipped is very exciting!

Hey nice gift! Guineas are cool. That will be fun. I love the way they look.
Although if someone gave me guineas as a gift it would be payback time. They're too loud for me. :) I hear they eat good and their eggs are tasty but tough to crack.
