"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

im always on the lookout when i see birds in someone’s yard while im passing by lol. Not many ppl in your area have chicken’s period.
Me too! There’s at least one other flock nearby, I hear crowing when I go on walks. I’ve found that coops are hard to buy secondhand here because everyone snaps them up so quickly. I really need to put a tractor coop I haven’t used in a few months on Nextdoor.

A friend’s neighborhood over in Mid City-Govt St area has one house with free range chickens in the front yard. You’ll drive by and have to swerve to avoid them sometimes 🤦‍♀️

Getting stuff ready for the storm here. Ratchet strapped the coops together & to metal stakes driven into the ground so I don’t have Wizard of Oz’ed chickens :lau

looks like a ground rattler. Nah, not venomous. Toss it back in for the birds. From the looks of that size in a bowl, it be like a big nite crawler for them.

at that age/ size, if it was venomous, (at least copperhead OR cottonmouth/ mocassin) it would have a green / lime tail.

normal timber or eastern rattler (neither of which are in your neck of the woods) are not that color.

The only other venomous we have here are corals, but there nowhere close to here or that color

Red to yellow kill a fellow
Red to black venom lack
