That stinks. You had about as much luck there as I did with the coronation/split sussex. I ended up with 1 coronation and it's a pullet. Most of the sussex I
were pullets and I imagine this was the first time ever that I was wishing for a rooster.
Hey, I just got finished candling my 72 guinea eggs and out of the 72...61 are developing and looking good.
Hatched ot both of the Turkey eggs yesterday. 1 Royal Palm and I am thinking the other must be a bronze.
Also went and picked up 10 Royal Palm poults today from a friend. Well I had my wife and son go get them. Sinus crap has had me in the bed
all dizzy headed this weekend.
Hopefully I will get my chocolate turkey eggs in this week. Planning on building some pretty good size portable pens and put the turkeys in them this
fall over the different garden spots. We have a problem with nutgrass and the turkeys will not only get the grass, they will scratch down and get the nut seed. So
maybe they will earn their keep.
That's does stink!! Just a waste of time & money!! <sigh>
That's great about your guinea eggs!!
Man, your up to your eyeballs in babies!! One day if you don't mind I'll have to get your way and check out all your animals!! We've been debating on getting turkeys!! That's really cool to know about nutgrass!! And to be completly honest I didn't have a clue as to what you were talking about till I googled it, but I have that stuff everywhere!!
